The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Men’s Fraternal Organization built on the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity & Patriotism.
The Knights of Columbus was founded by Fr. Michael J. McGivney on March 29, 1882, as a fraternal benefit society, to render financial aid to the sick, disabled, and needy members and their families. At the present time, the Knights of Columbus is the largest fraternal organization in the world. The organization has grown from several members to over 14,000 councils worldwide. The social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief, and public relief works.
